Diolch o galon (thanks from the heart) again for all of the workshops they were extremely interesting and I dare say transformational on my approach to consciously incorporating more accessible elements in my outdoor practice. As said I will let you know as I proceed and these elements further develop but it’s definitely added an interesting element to my practice.

Joanna is a supportive and engaged coach with a lot of experience. Our coaching sessions came at a particularly good point when I was changing roles and taking on more management responsibility. She held the space very effectively and helped me to order and clarify my thoughts, reflecting back and asking questions without being directive or imposing her opinion. I would thoroughly recommend working with Joanna if you need support with your professional development.

I found the (sensory and physical impairment) workshops very informative and helpful. Joanna created a relaxed and positive learning environment that allowed us to ask questions, discuss and understand various conditions regardless of whether they were new to us or familiar. The workshop content was a good balance between theoretical background/medical information and practical tips for us as outdoor leaders. I feel much more confident now that I can make adaptations to make my activities more accessible and support people with various needs. I am more aware of what to consider or look out for now, and what the implications are when people declare something on their registration form. Perhaps most importantly, I feel more confident to ask people how I can best support them and have these conversations.

This presentation by Joanna was one of the best, if not the best, presentation I have ever received. It was both engaging and relevant to my job as a mountain leader. The topics covered were detailed but not onerous and Joanna’s knowledge as a medical professional but also a mountain professional gave  it just the right balance. The presentation made me consider my own methods of client medical forms and I will be making some tweaks based on what we discussed. Traditionally, I’m not keen on online seminars but I can honestly say this one kept we alert, awake and engaged throughout and it left me with an increased desire to get into the hills with more physically impaired clients. It was most inspirational and I will certainly be looking to join more of Joanna’s presentations in the future. Excellent!.
